Aria is a newly formed vocal group made up of eight friends who have been singing together since childhood. They are sopranos Lynne Cooper, Sonia Dunlop, Joanne Irvine and Sandie MacGregor; mezzo sopranos Louise Cuthbertson and Claire Irvine, and contraltos Paula Barron and Jennifer Murphy. Aria are pleased to be accompanied by musician Jim Drennan.

As former members of the Glasgow Youth Choir, Aria wish to acknowledge the great influence and training they have received from the founder and conductor of the Glasgow Youth Choir, Dr. Agnes Hoey M.B.E..

The group have an extensive repertoire of music from sacred and classical to folk and modern and sing both as a group and as solo performers. From Schubert to Sting, Bach to Burt Bacharach, Mozart to Queen, Andrew Lloyd Webber to Abba there is something to please everyone!

The response to Ariašs past performances has been incredible. Many have commented on the fresh, rich sound which has excited and stirred emotions As we have been singing together for almost twenty years, the sound is as if it is one voice and we have been told the balance is perfect.

Aria would be delighted to perform at almost any function.
